SARAH ACHIEVES TOP THREE SPOT IN PCA MVP RATINGS

Sarah Glenn achieved third spot in the England Women’s PCA Overall Most Valuable Player ratings for the winter of 2019-2020.

The Worcestershire Women’s Rapids spinner had an international breakthrough to remember.

She has amassed 108.69 points at an average of 8.36.

Only Natalie Sciver (125.07 at 9.62) and Heather Knight (124.08 at 8.86) finished above the 20-year-old.

Glenn finished top of the ODI rankings with 36.01 points from the three 50 over matches England played this winter – against Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur.

She was placed fifth in the T20I listings with 72.68 points.

The emphasis has been on T20 cricket this winter ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia in which England reached the semi-finals.

In total Glenn has taken 23 wickets in three ODI and 10 T20Is.

The MVP algorithm was created by the PCA in conjunction with the players to reward match-winning individual performances.

Bonus points are awarded for key disciplines including scoring a high proportion of your team’s runs, claiming top-order wickets and taking catches in the field.

England Women MVPs are named at the conclusion of both the side’s winter and summer schedules. There are awards for the ODI and T20I formats, as well as a cross-format Overall MVP prize.
