Triallist Sam Perry completed his century for Worcestershire Seconds on a severely curtailed day three in the Championship match with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl.
Perry had to wait almost two days before resuming on 70 not out because of rain before Worcestershire resumed their second innings at 244-7 from 96 overs.
But the 23-year-old, who has played National Counties cricket for Cheshire, continued to display a good temperament and technique when play got underway at 3.30pm.
A pull for four off spinner Felix Organ enabled him to reach three figures from 229 balls with his 12th boundary.
Perry was given excellent support by Adam Finch during a partnership of 104 for the eighth wicket and the pace bowler completed his maiden SEC half century.
The stand was finally broken when Perry was caught behind for 108 and then Finch on 55 found the hands of mid wicket.
Pat Brown made 15 not out before the declaration at 370-9 with Worcestershire having collected two batting points.
Hampshire were left with 10 overs batting and they closed on 30-0 after five overs apiece from Finch and Brown with the new ball.
