Gareth Roderick and Adam Finch are part of the Worcestershire Seconds side for their opening Second Eleven Championship match of 2022 against Gloucestershire at Kidderminster beginning on Monday (April 10).
Roderick and Finch were included in the Worcestershire squad for the LV=Insurance County Championship match with Leicestershire at the Uptonsteel County Ground, although they did not make the final eleven.
They will now have the opportunity to get in some valuable match practice during the four-day fixture, with Roderick keeping wicket and set to bat at number three and Finch to be a vital member of the attack.
It is the first of ten Championship fixtures for the Seconds this summer, two more than in 2021.
Winter signings, opening batsman Taylor Cornall and left-arm fast bowler Ben Gibbon are also included.
Seconds Coach Kadeer Ali said: “We have had a couple of warm-up games, and it is nice to get back to the four-day stuff, a bit more competitive.
“Everyone will be looking to make an impression, to put in a performance, professionals and younger lads alike.”
