Seconds complete T20 double at Visit Worcestershire New Road

Rob Jones struck an unbeaten 74 off 37 balls as Worcestershire Seconds defeated Glamorgan under the Duckworth Lewis Method in an ECB T20 encounter at Visit Worcestershire New Road.
It enabled Worcestershire to complete back to back wins after yesterday’s win over Gloucestershire at the same venue.
Jones hit four sixes and nine fours after Worcestershire were put into bat following morning rain.
He was given excellent support by Matthew Waite – 46 off 29 balls – during an opening stand of 116 in 10.1 overs.
Josh Cobb weighed in with 19 not out from just six balls and Worcestershire reached 146-1 from 12 overs when the heavens opened again.
Glamorgan were bowled out for 136 in 12 overs with Harry Darley picking up three wickets for 30 runs in three overs.
There was also two wickets apiece for Tom Hinley (2-0-20-2), Adam Finch (3-0-34-2) and Jake Libby (1-0-3-2).
Former Worcestershire Academy player Zain Ul Hassan top-scored with 32 for Glamorgan.
