Worcestershire Head Coach Alan Richardson believes the Vitality County Championship encounter with Warwickshire at Edgbaston is evenly poised at the halfway stage.
Warwickshire will resume on day three on 292-5 in their first innings in reply to Worcestershire’s 360 all out.
But the second new ball will be available for the Worcestershire attack to take after just one over in the morning.
Richardson said: “”It’s fairly even. It’s had some nice twists and turns and some ups and downs already and been two really good days of cricket.
“At times the ball has moved around a little bit. You certainly have to bowl in the right areas for a long period to get something out of it, and both sides have done that at times.
“I think a little bit will depend on the ball. Our boys thought it went very soft in the middle session today which made it quite difficult to get it off straight.
“But in general a pretty good cricket wicket. It feels like there is a bit in it for everyone but you have to work pretty hard.”
Richardson added: “I don’t think any side has had a huge amount of momentum over the other side so far.
“Both sides have had flashes so we’ll see what the next two days brings. It possibly might need something to happen quite quickly at some stage.
“For all of us, including the Warwickshire boys, we are trying to get a little bit of rust off.”
