George Rhodes continued his fine form for North Canberra Gungahlin who had to settle for first innings points in the ACT Premier Cricket first grade match with Queanbeyan District.
The Worcestershire all-rounder resumed on 64 not out with the Northies well placed at 118-4 in reply to Queanbeyan's first innings total of 123.
Rhodes was able to add 11 more runs but on 75 his hopes of a second century of the winter were ended when he was caught down the leg side.
On a slow pitch, runs were hard to come by today and North Canberra added exactly 100 to their overnight tally in 48.4 overs spanning one and a half sessions of play.
They were eventually dismissed for 218 in 88.4 overs – a lead of 95.
Queanbeyan – for whom Ed Barnard played last winter – had to bat for just over a session to avoid outright defeat.
They managed that comfortably and their total stood on 44-2 from 19 overs when the two sides shook hands.
Rhodes will make his final appearance of the winter next weekend for the Northies before flying back to New Road.
