George Rhodes has followed in the footsteps of Worcestershire club-mate Joe Leach and made a favourable impression for North Canberra Gungahlin in Australia.
Leach helped the Northies to win their first trophy for 10 years last winter via the T20 competition with sizeable contributions with bat and ball.
Now all-rounder Rhodes is also playing a full role during the current campaign Down Under.
His batting performances have steadily improved and he is now the club's third highest scorer with 193 runs in eight innings behind Andrew Glover (248) and Jason Kila (199).
Rhodes has hit one half century – 54 versus Ginninderra – but also weighed in with 49 against Eastlake, 42 against Western District and 36 against Weston Creek Molonglo.
On the bowling front Rhodes has excelled and is leading wicket-taker with 15 from six innings at an average of 18.13 runs apiece.
The 22-year-old has overall figures of 78-11-272-15 and is three ahead of Ben Taylor and Hayden Page with 12 apiece.
Rhodes best figures were 4-53 against Weston Creek in the 50 over competition.
But in the last two-day games he has returned 4-69 from 19 overs against Western District and 3-46 in 19 overs versus Weston Creek.
