Openers George Rhodes and Ollie Westbury figured in a treble century stand for Worcestershire Seconds on the opening day of the three-day encounter with Gloucestershire Seconds at Cheltenham College.
Joe Clarke scored a double century in the corresponding fixture 12 months ago which led to his elevation into the Worcestershire team.
Now skipper Rhodes and Westbury shared the batting honours on the same ground for coach Kevin Sharp's side as they closed on 412-6 off 104 overs.
The pair put on 304 in 82 overs before Rhodes, who won the toss and elected to bat, was dismissed by Kieran Noema-Barnett for 137.
His fine 264 ball knock contained 16 boundaries.
Westbury followed up his century against Northamptonshire Seconds at Kidderminster with a career best 151.
He faced 253 balls and hit 14 fours before he was run out.
There was then a collapse with Alex Hepburn (0), Zen Malik (2), Josh Dell (0) and Adeel Shafique (15) all falling to paceman Tom Hampton.
But then Tom Fell, who had come in at number three, hit his third 50 plus score in four innings during the last week – two for the Seconds plus a hundred for Wolverhampton.
He finished unbeaten on 52 from just 51 balls and struck seven fours.
