new worcestershire ceo matt rawnsley was delighted with a “really positive” response when he staged his first public members forum in the graeme hick pavilion today.
rawnsley addressed members before the scheduled start of play in the specsavers county championship match with nottinghamshire at New Road.
the overnight rain meant less members than usual were in the hick pavilion on a matchday morning.
but those who attended asked and had answered a variety of questions on all aspects of the game.
rawnsley said: “it was really positive, some great dialogue across the membership.
“the encouraging thing for me was to see i was aligned with lots of their views and concerns which is great.
“it has not been great weather today but hopefully next time we will have a bigger turn-out.
“i think to have a full graeme hick pavilion like today just shows the enthusiasm and passion from the membership who want to be heard and also want to hear what i’ve got to say which is great.”
other ceo commitments permitting, the next members forum will be held in the hick pavilion on day one of the championship clash with essex on friday, may 11 (9.30am start).
