RAPIDS SPINNER GLENN HELPS ENGLAND SEAL T20I SERIES

RAPIDS SPINNER GLENN HELPS ENGLAND SEAL T20I SERIES

Sarah Glenn took her England wicket tally into double figures in just her fifth international appearance as Pakistan were beaten by 84 runs in the second T20I in Kuala Lumpur.

The Worcestershire Women’s Rapids leg spinner finished with figures of 1-17 from three overs as Pakistan were dismissed for 101.

It followed on from her 1-25 in four overs in the opening T20I and eight wickets in three ODIs.

Today’s victory ensured a series success for England with one game remaining tomorrow before the players fly home for the festive season.

Glenn dismissed opener Javeira Khan for 10, caught by Katherine Brunt who once had a winter spell working as a coach for the Worcestershire Cricket Board.

Her breakthrough left Pakistan on 39-4 and never threatening England’s imposing total of 185-5

Openers Amy Jones (89 off 52 balls) and Danielle Wyatt (55 off 36 deliveries) laid the foundations for England’s win after they had been put into bat.

They put on 120 in 12.2 overs.
