Worcestershire Rapids will take on Shropshire at Bridgnorth tomorrow in a T20 warm-up match for their opening NatWest T20 Bast clash with Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston on Friday.
Sixteen Worcestershire players will be in action – with four of them playing for the Minor Counties side.
Joe Clarke, Ed Barnard, Jack Shantry and Joe Leach all played for Shropshire before joining up with Worcestershire.
Opener Richard Oliver is also an ex Shropshire player but he will be part of the Worcestershire side after requesting to play for the Rapids.
Clarke, who will celebrate his 19th birthday next Tuesday, and Barnard have also been turning out during the early part of this season for Shropshire when their commitments at New Road allow.
Worcestershire reached the quarter-finals of last season's NatWest T20 Blast before losing to Surrey in a low-scoring game at the Kia Oval.
Tomorrow's game will get underway at 5.30pm – the same time as the Edgbaston clash.
The Worcestershire squad against Shropshire is:
Daryl Mitchell
Richard Oliver
Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Alex Gidman
Alexei Kervezee
Ross Whiteley
Ben Cox
Brett D'Oliveira
Sachithra Senanayake
Shaaiq Choudhry
