Ben Cox’s side’s Boost Defenders will launch their bid for glory in the inaugural Abu Dhabi T20 League today (Thursday).
The Worcestershire wicket-keeper batsman has linked up with the Boost defenders for the three-day tournament.
The six teams have been split into two groups of three with the final taking part on October 6.
All games will take place in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Cox and the Boost Defenders will take on the Auckland Aces today (October 4) and the Multiply Titans tomorrow (October 5).
The Boost Defenders compete in Afghanistan’s Shpageeza League.
In the other group are Yorkshire, Hobart Hurricanes and Lahore Qalandars.
Cox will be hoping to repeat the form he showed with the bat on Vitality Blast finals day when he produced man of the match winning performances for the Rapids against Lancashire Lightning and Sussex Sharks.
