Worcestershire Rapids are lying second in the Royal London One-Day North Group after their fine start to the campaign.
The Rapids are set for a mouth-watering home clash tomorrow with Yorkshire Vikings who are the only team in the group to still boast a 100 per cent record.
Worcestershire won their opening two games versus Notts Outlaws and Leicestershire Foxes before being involved in a thrilling tie against Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Wantage Road yesterday evening under lights.
Yorkshire overcame the Outlaws and Lancashire Lightning before reaching a target of 336 to beat Durham by six wickets at Headingley yesterday – their highest chase in List A cricket.
The format of this year's competition is slightly different to previous years in determining who reaches the semi-finals.
The winners of the North and South Groups will automatically secure a place in the last four – and a home tie.
But this year the second placed team in the North Group will play host to the third placed team in the South Group and the second placed team in the South Group will host the third placed team in the North Group to determine the other two semi-final sports.
Those two ties will take place on June 13 with the semi-finals being staged on June 16 and 17 respectively.
