Worcestershire Rapids Vitality Blast captain, Moeen Ali, smashed 49 off only 19 balls to help Northern Warriors register their first win in the Abu Dhabi T10 League against Chennai Braves.
Moeen struck five sixes and three fours and put on 106 in just 6.1 overs for the first wicket with Kennar Lewis who also made 49 off 19 deliveries.
It laid the platform for the Warriors to total 152-4, the highest team total in the competition to date.
With the top four qualifying for the knockout stages, the win kept alive Moeen and the Warriors hopes of progressing in the tournament to the latter stages.
Moeen hit Kevin Koththigoda for three successive sixes, two over deep mid wicket and one to long on, in an over costing 26 runs.
He cleared the boundary twice more in an over from Dasun Shanaka before being bowled by Mark Deyal one short of his half century.
Moeen was not required with the ball as the Chennai Braves were dismissed for 133 in 9.5 overs as the Warriors triumphed by 19 runs.
