Captain Hannah Hardwick and Imogen Hill both hit half centuries as Worcestershire Women’s Rapids defeated Huntingdonshire in a ECB Women’s County championship T20 Group Twp fixture at Ramsey CC.
Opener Hardwick struck 57 off 41 balls with one six and seven fours and number four Hill an unbeaten 51 off 49 deliveries with five boundaries.
The pair came together at 41-2 and put on 98 for the third wicket as the Rapids totalled 163-3 after electing to bat.
Flora Bertwhistle then struck two early blows and finished with 4-0-14-2 as Huntingdonshire were bowled out for 72 in 17.3 overs to win by 91 runs.
Jess Beach (Humby), 3-0-23-3, and Phoebe Brett, 4-0-14-2, also did the damage with the ball.
Worcestershire had lost by 17 runs to Leicestershire in another T20 Group Two fixture earlier in the day.
Brett returned excellent figures of 4-0-17-4 and Bertwhistle 4-0-12-2 as Leicestershire were restricted to 118-6 after being put in.
But Worcestershire also found runs hard to come by despite 38 off 51 balls from opener Georgina Macey.
She was sixth out in the 19th over and no-one else was able to score above 20 as Worcestershire closed on 101-6.
