Worcestershire Rapids NatWest T20 Blast clash with Durham Jets at the Emirates ICG will now take place under floodlights.
It means the Friday, June 12 encounter will now get underway at a new start time of 7pm rather than the orginally scheduled 5.30pm.
The start times of Durham's home games with Yorkshire Vikings, Lancashire Lightning and Notts Outlaws have also been moved back to become floodlit fixtures.
The Rapids lost the corresponding fixture last season but triumphed in the return televised rain-hit match at New Road.
Durham County Council planners approved the erection of the six 55m pylons.
Durham CCC chief executive Dave Harker said: "Having floodlights at the ground is vital to the future of the club, and means that international cricket will continue to be played here in the North East."
