worcestershire rapids will again be playing their full part this weekend in supporting the rainbow laces campaign.
the rapids players will wear rainbow shoelaces during tonight’s vitality blast match away to northamptonshire steelbacks and sunday’s encounter with lancashire lightning at New Road (2.30pm start).
the inaugural rainbow laces last summer was a big success and it will supported by counties via all vitality blast matches from july 27 to 29 this year.
rainbow laces is an initiative by stonewall which is an international charity supporting and campaigning for equal rights for lgbt (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) people around the world.
the rainbow laces campaign is designed to build awareness and understanding of the issues affecting lgbt people in sport, and how organisations can help ensure all sports offer an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
