Worcestershire pace bowler, Ben Gibbon, can look forward to a Western Australia Cricket Association home T20 quarter-final against Gosnells CC when he returns to action in the New Year with Willetton CC.
Willetton topped Group D with a 100 per cent record and will take on the Group A runners-up at their Burrendah Park Oval ground on January 8.
Gibbon finished as his side’s second-highest T20 wicket-taker with seven in four matches, as well as helping them into a playoff spot in the first-grade competition.
The left armer is now taking a three break from action over Christmas.
Henry Cullen can reflect on a highly satisfactory first half of the campaign for Plenty Valley in the Victoria Cricket Association competition.
The wicket-keeper batter is the highest run-scorer across all teams and age groups at his club – men and women – with 452 at an average of 75.33.
Plenty Valley women’s first team player, Emma Corney, is the next best run-getter with 374.
Cullen will also be back in action early in the New Year as Plenty Valley look to mount a late charge for a playoff spot.
Pace bowler, Adam Finch, has flown out to Australia to play for Sturt CC in the South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket competition.
Sturt will be celebrating their 125th anniversary as a club in February during Finch’s spell with them.
