Quality Rapids Merchandise On Sale In New Club Shop

Worcestershire Rapids merchandise focusing on their exciting new brand name will be on sale in the new club shop tomorrow evening during the opening home NatWest T20 Blast match with holders Northamptonshire Steelbacks.

Everything from Moeen Ali T-shirts to jackets, polo shirts, caps and miniature cricket bats will be available to purchase at the shop situated in the concourse near to the turnstiles under the Premier Inn restaurant.

But goods can also be purchased on-line via the club's website at and delivered to the customer's door should they require.

It is no surprise the Moeen 'the beard to be feared' shirts are one of the leading sellers given the form he has been in during the past 12 months and his advances onto the international stage with England.

Sales executive Paul Biggerstaff said: "With the Rapids, particularly with the blue in the colour scheme, there is a lot more we can do with the leisureware from polo shirts to hoodies, quilted jackets, rain jackets, a nice range of caps. It is going quite well.

"The Moeen Ali T-shirts are really popular. We've had orders from different counties all over the country which is good.

"With the T20 home programme starting, the Rapids stuff will start to take off a lot more. We've had a lot more on-line sales of the Rapids polo shirts and T-shirts, some of the caps.

"We've got a home game and a game on Sky on June 7 and when people start seeing more of the merchandise, sales will pick up even further."

Biggerstaff believes the new branding can only be beneficial to the club.

He said: "The new branding as the Rapids opens up a lot more marketing and retailing opportunities which is key for the club.

"The interest is growing by the week. Now the Rapids are playing, people are getting to recognise the shirt and the logo and all the marketing material.

"We've got loads of stuff around town and hopefully will start to recognise the brand a bit more and we can keep building from there."

"There is some nice merchandise and we've tried to price it right so it is affordable for people to buy."
