POST MATCH CRICKET SESSIONS TO RETURN FOR WEEKEND BLAST FIXTURES

Worcestershire County Cricket Club are excited to confirm that the post-match cricket sessions will be returning for our final Vitality Blast weekend fixtures.

This follows on from the enormous popularity of the post-match cricket session, run by Worcestershire Cricket Board, after the Worcestershire Rapids Vitality Blast fixture on Sunday, 5 June.

Over 100 girls and boys enjoyed the hour-long cricket skills and mini-games session. The sessions also give budding young cricketers the chance to play on our New Road ground themselves.

Alongside the cricket-skills session, the ever-popular Player Signing Sessions in the dugout will continue after every fixture.

Tickets for our weekend fixtures, against Northants Steelbacks on Saturday 18 June, and Notts Outlaws, on Sunday 5 July, are available to purchase online now.

Sarah Thomas, whose daughter Emma took part in the first session, commented, “Emma really enjoyed the session after a great afternoon of fun watching the cricket.

“After the game had finished, she couldn’t wait to get out onto the grass and really felt part of it all, and she can’t wait to come back.”

Sarah Gluyas, Worcestershire CCC Company Secretary, said, “It was amazing to see so many youngsters so excited to run onto the outfield and play cricket last Sunday.

“We’re pleased that the activities will be returning, in conjunction with Worcestershire Cricket Board, and it will be great to see more youngsters enjoying their cricket on the outfield after the next weekend fixtures.

“It’s important for us that we create opportunities like this where youngsters can make great and everlasting memories, and I’m sure the other sessions will be very popular.
