Cricket writer, historian and statistician Peter Wynne-Thomas will be the guest speaker of the Worcestershire Cricket Society at their February meeting tomorrow evening in the 1865 Lounge at New Road.
Wynne-Thomas, who is now aged 81, has been the librarian and archivist at Trent Bridge for Nottinghamshire CCC for many years.
Indeed, the library at Trent Bridge is named The Wynne-Thomas Library in his honour.
Wynne-Thomas was involved in the foundation of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians (ACS).
He was the original treasurer until 1974 and then secretary until he retired in 2006.
Wynne-Thomas managed the Sport-in-Print bookshop (opposite the Trent Bridge Inn by Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham) from December 1987 before the ACS purchased the premises in 1993 as its headquarters.
Tomorrow evening's meeting will get get underway at 7.30pm and non Cricket Society members are welcome to attend for a £3 charge.
