Pepsi Targets Three More Wins In Push For Top Flight Return

Pepsi Targets Three More Wins In Push For Top Flight Return

Tom Kohler-Cadmore says Worcestershire will be in "a very good spot" in their bid to gain promotion to Division One of the Specsavers County Championship if they win three of their remaining six games.

The County return to red ball cricket today when they take on fellow contenders Kent on the opening day at Canterbury.

Worcestershire have managed to win three matches in the four-day format despite bowlers having to work harder to take 20 wickets this season with the new 'toss' rule.

Kohler-Cadmore said: "For us, we try and win every game of cricket we play. The four-day stuff is no different and to win that you've got to take 20 poles (wickets).

"It's been tough for our bowlers this year with the pitches and the new rules coming in so that they've not been so helpful towards seam bowling especially.

"For us to win three games, has been a great effort and no-one has won more than us.

"We've got a good attack and if we can win three more games out of six then we will be in a very good spot.

"It's one special spell of bowling that can win you the game of cricket. Hopefully our guys have got a couple more in them."

Worcestershire have home matches against Glamorgan, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire and further away games with Sussex and current leaders Essex.
