Worcestershire Cricket Society have finalised the dates for their three day trip to Sussex and Hampshire before the start of next season – from Sunday April 2 to Tuesday April 4.
Society committee member and organiser Mike Hitchings reports that there are only a few spaces remaining for the trip which incorporates tours of Hove and the Ageas Bowl and a two-evening stop at a hotel in the Portsmouth area.
So far 51 people have expressed an interest which means the 53 seater executive coach booked for the trip – the same size as the one used for this year's successful trip to Manchester – is close to being full.
Thirty two people have already paid the £25 deposit and it is hoped to have a full itinerary and price in place by the Society's January meeting at New Road on Tuesday, January 10.
Anyone intending to make the trip should send a cheque made out to the 'Worcestershire Cricket Society' in the post to Mike Hitchings, 34 Derwent Drive, Mitton, Tewkesbury, Glos. GL20 8 BB
A reminder that any friends or family of Society members are more than welcome and do NOT have to be to Society member.
The plan is to leave New Road at 9.30am on April 2, travel to Portsmouth and spend the afternoon visiting the revamped docks area.
A tour of Sussex CCC's headquarters at Hove will take place on April 3 followed by a trip to Brighton before returning to Portsmouth in the evening.
On April 4, the Society will visit Hampshire CCC's Ageas Bowl and, after a meal, then visit the New Forest before returning to New Road at approximately 7.30pm.
