There are only 100 days to go before Worcestershire CCC return to action at their New Road headquarters!
The new campaign may seem a long way off at present with the recent cold and wet weather.
But the countdown has begun to the opening home Specsavers County Championship fixture of the 2017 campaign.
Be assured, the remaining 20 days left in January, 28 in February, 31 in March and first 21 of April will soon disappear over the horizon.
Northamptonshire are the first visitors to New Road on April 21 for the start of the four-day fixture.
New skipper Joe Leach will be hoping that Worcestershire can repeat last season's Championship form against their opponents.
They triumphed by 311 runs at Wantage Road with New Zealander Matt Henry returning match figures of 8-88.
Then the County rewrote the record books when pulling off a two wicket success at New Road.
The 401 target was the highest ever achieved by the County to win on their own ground with opener Daryl Mitchell scoring two centuries in the game.
Roll on the 2017 season!
