Worcestershire Seconds will take a break from Championship cricket when they face Zimbabwe Academy (ZA) in a 50 over match at Barnt Green CC tomorrow (Thursday).
Coach Kevin Sharp's side have played excellent red ball cricket in recent weeks to top the Second Eleven Championship table with three wins so far this season.
Now they will be fielding a strong side against the ZA in a game which gets underway at 11am.
Ben Twohig is being given another taste of captaincy after leading the side in the T20 competition so far this season.
The pace attack will combine the experienced Jack Shantry and Charlie Morris with the raw talent of George Scrimshaw, Pat Brown and Dillon Pennington.
On the batting front, Jack Haynes will have another opportunity after making his Championship debut in the win over Leicestershire last week.
Alex Hepburn will be looking to continue the excellent form he has shown with bat and ball in recent weeks.
Keeper-batsman Alex Milton will be full of confidence after hitting a fifth league hundred of the campaign for Cardiff CC at the weekend following an unbeaten 40 for the Seconds against Leicestershire as part of the successful run chase.
Josh Dell is also fit enough to play after recovering sufficiently from irritating a disc problem in his lower back.
