With Ombo making 259 from their allotted 55 overs, Smethwick held on eight wickets down to secure a losing draw.
In Premier Division Two, Ben Jones helped Kidderminster to a 10-wicket thrashing of Worfield, with the bowler returning figures of 2-20 from his seven overs as his side ripped through their opponents for just 61.
