Squad Update: 8th July

Published 08/07/2026

Head Coach Alan Richardson has today issued an update on the fitness of senior players Adam Hose, Brett D’Oliveira, Adam Finch and Ethan Brookes.

Ahead of Friday’s crunch clash with Gloucestershire at New Road, Richardson confirmed the status of his four key men.

Adam Hose:

Adam left the field during Sunday’s Vitality T20 Blast win over Glamorgan at Cardiff with a hamstring issue.

Subsequent assessment has shown a slightly more significant injury than first highlighted, and Adam is due to see a specialist in the coming days.

He will be unavailable for Friday’s fixture against Gloucestershire.

Brett D’Oliveira:

Brett was withdrawn from the squad before Sunday’s match in Cardiff due to a recurrence of an ongoing back issue.

He will be assessed ahead of the group game against Gloucestershire this weekend.

Ethan Brookes:

After suffering a displaced fracture to his thumb in the T20 warm-up fixture against SACA two weeks ago, Ethan has since undergone surgery.

His operation was successful and he is currently under the observation of the Club’s medical team before beginning his rehabilitation process.

His return to play timeframe is yet to be established.

Adam Finch:

Since suffering a side injury in the Rothesay County Championship Middlesex last month, Adam has made a full recovery and is now available for selection.

The remainder of the squad continue preparations for Friday’s pivotal Vitality T20 Blast group stage clash with Gloucestershire.
