Worcestershire County Cricket Club can confirm that Adam Hose will captain the Rapids for the remainder of this season’s Vitality Blast campaign.
Brett D’Oliveira remains Club Captain and will continue to lead the side in the Rothesay County Championship.
The change is specific to the Vitality Blast campaign, with Hose taking on the role for the remaining fixtures as the Rapids look to finish the group stage strongly.
Head Coach Alan Richardson commented, “Adam is a highly respected member of the dressing room and someone with significant experience of T20 cricket. We feel this is the right time for him to lead the side for the remainder of the competition.
“Brett remains our Club Captain and Rothesay County Championship Captain, and his contribution as a leader at Worcestershire continues to be hugely valued.
“He cares deeply about the club and will remain an important voice within the group.
Adam Hose added, “It’s a real honour to captain Worcestershire for the rest of the Vitality Blast campaign.
“We’ve still got plenty to play for and there is a lot of belief in the group.
My focus is on helping the team play with clarity, confidence and freedom, and making sure we give everything in the remaining fixtures.”
