It is a repeat of the opening Division One fixture in 2011 after Worcestershire's last promotion and it attracted sizeable crowds on all three days in what was a glorious spring weather-wise.
Yorkshire won by nine wickets but Worcestershire defied the bookmakers odds to stay up – an achievement Rhodes admitted at the time was the finest of his coaching career – and will be striving to repeat that next summer.
Worcestershire's second home Championship clash will be against Somerset in early May before the visit of the New Zealand tourists for a four-day match in the middle of the month.
The eagerly awaited derby matches with Warwickshire will take place at Edgbaston from May 9 with the return at New Road beginning on June 14.
Friday night will again be NatWest T20 Blast night and the Rapids will be looking to build on reaching the quarter-finals last season.
Their 2015 programme gets underway away to the Birmingham Bears on May 22 before New Road tastes action in the competition for the first time seven days later with the visit of three times winners Leicestershire Foxes.
Yorkshire will also be Worcestershire's first home opponents in the 50 over Royal London One-Day Cup on July 30.
There will be at least 47 days first team cricket at New Road between April and September.
