New Worcestershire skipper Joe Leach is delighted with the re-signing of Mitchell Santner for next summer's NatWest T20 Blast.
Leach is hoping the New Zealand all-rounder will "help us put together a march for finals day" after he committed to a second spell with the Rapids.
Santner will link up with the Rapids after the completion of the ICC Trophy which is being held in England next summer.
Leach said: "I am really looking forward to Mitch coming back over next year. He is arguably one of the most sought after spin bowling all-rounders in the world at the moment.
"For him – as well as Moeen (Ali) hopefully in some games if he is made available – to be playing for us will give us real star quality in that department.
"Mitch is a genuine all rounder and with being another left hander will give us really good options and balance to our side.
"His quality in the middle order and middle of the innings when bowling will hopefully help us put together a march for finals day."
Santner had to cut short his spell with the Rapids last summer after breaking a finger when fielding in the opening T20 Blast match with Durham Jets at New Road.
