Richard Oliver scored a superb 292 not out for Worcestershire Seconds who topped the 700 mark by the end of the third day of the four-day friendly with Warwickshire Seconds at Barnt Green.
Oliver, who recently signed a contract with the county until the end of the 2015 season, has impressed as part of the Rapids NatWest T20 Blast squad.
But he has also stressed his desire to make an impact for Worcestershire in red ball cricket and he has so far batted for nearly eight hours in this innings.
Oliver is one of four players from both sides who will be replaced on the final day as they are required for T20 Blast action on Friday evening.
He has faced 321 balls and struck three sixes and 33 fours in helping Worcestershire to 713-6 from 154 overs – a lead of 216.
Oliver gave just one chance when he was dropped at first slip on 96 by Freddie Coleman off Oliver Hannon-Dalby.
The Shropshire captain shared in stands of 222 in 43 overs with Tom Kohler-Cadmore for the second wicket and 141 in 31 overs for the sixth wicket with England Under-19 batsman Ed Barnard who is making his first appearance of the season for the Seconds.
Oliver was also aided in other 50 plus stands of 74, 65 and 65 with Ross Whiteley, Joe Clarke and Shaaiq Choudhry respectively.
Kohler-Cadmore added 13 runs to his overnight 100 not out and hit 12 fours in his 226 ball innings.
