Jake Libby marked his first appearances for Cornwall for five years by hitting a rapid 77 in Game Two of a National Counties T20 double header against Dorset at Milton Abbey School.
The Worcestershire opener’s 54 ball knock contained four sixes and he was at the crease until the penultimate over of Cornwall’s 132-4.
Former Worcestershire all-rounder, Ross Whiteley, made 41 for Dorset but their last five wickets fell for 13 runs and they were bowled out for 123.
Libby had also struck 40 in Game One and returned 2-28 with his spin but Cornwall lost by 41 runs after collapsing from 59-2 to 86 all out.
His Worcestershire team-mate, Kashif Ali, also made a telling contribution with the bat for Bedfordshire in Game Two against Berkshire at Wargrave.
Like Libby, he also achieved four maximums in making 60 from 51 balls as Bedfordshire chased a 121 target.
But Kashif was caught at long off from the first ball of the penultimate over with 17 needed and Bedfordshire only scored five from the last two overs as they closed on 109-8 and went down by 11 runs.
It was a losing double for Kashif and Bedfordshire who went down in Game One by seven wickets.
