Charlie Morris has been satisfied with how plans to increase his pace for the 2015 season have panned out after working effectively with Worcestershire bowling coach Matt Mason.
Morris ended his first full season at New Road with 52 LV = County Championship wickets after playing all 16 matches.
It led to the Hereford born player the county's Players' Player and Young Player awards at the end of season awards dinner.
Now the Oxford MCCU graduate has been striving to bowl quicker but without losing that great accuracy and control which was his trademark trait last summer as part of an effective pace trio with Jack Shantry and Gareth Andrew-Joe Leach.
Morris said: "How has the pace building up? I think it has gone to plan. It's something I've been working on with Mase this winter.
"Now it's been great to come outside and try it off the long run in the series of warm-up fixtures.
"It will be one of those things, it is very much about rhythm and that's the whole point of pre-season to find your rhythm so you hit the ground running for the first game.
"I would definitely say it's clicked and there have been some nice comments from some players, players in the squad, saying it (the pace) has improved.
"Fingers crossed I can take that into the games – if selected – and help the side."
