Moeen Ali has recharged his batteries before returning to action with Worcestershire later this month via a visit to Saudi Arabia and landmarks associated with Islam.
The 29-year-old recently completed another hectic winter with England by participating in the ODI series in the West Indies.
He has posted images on his Instagram account of the Quba mosque in Medina – one of the oldest in the world – and of himself in Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.
The all-rounder is also pictured standing underneath a sign which says 'Umar Bin Al-Khattab' and has written 'when you see the name of a true hero.'
Moeen has been part of a virtual non-stop schedule since the end of the 2016 season featuring ODIs and Tests in Bangladesh, a Test series in India, a return trip to India for white ball cricket before the Caribbean climax.
He is one of now only a small amount of players who feature in all formats of the game for England.
Moeen is scheduled to play in the home Specsavers County Championship match with Northamptonshire beginning on April 21 in addition to three matches in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
He has just completed a decade of service at New Road after joining the County at the end of the 2006 campaign from local rivals Warwickshire.
England are next in action at the start of next month with two ODIs against Ireland.
