Moeen Ali will now switch to T20I mode with England in India and is set to make only his second international appearance in the short format of the game in almost 10 months.
The Worcestershire all rounder's previous T20I was the clash with Pakistan at Old Trafford in September.
England are scheduled to face the host nation in Kanpur on January 26, Nagpur on January 29 and Bangalore on February 1.
Moeen and his team-mates registered their first victory of the Indian tour in the third ODI yesterday in what was a run-drenched series.
The 2090 run aggregate was the highest for an ODI series of three matches or less and in all six innings the total topped 300.
The only time England have totalled 300 in a series on more than three occasions was the four times against New Zealand in 2015.
Moeen did not take a wicket in this series but he ended as England's most economical bowler at a rate of 6.04 runs per over.
The 29-year-old scored 85 runs in his three knocks at an average of 28.33 and a strike rate of 130.76.
