Moeen Ali was run out for 19 as England bowed out of the World Cup by going down to Bangladesh by 15 runs in Adelaide today.
England were set a 276 target in their 'must win' Pool A clash and were bowled out for 260 in 48.3 overs.
Worcestershire all-rounder Moeen and Ian Bell had given England a confident start with a partnership of 43.
Moeen had picked up three boundaries and had successfully used the review system to over-turn being given out lbw for 11 against the bowling of Rubel Hossain.
But he needlessly lost his wicket to the 21st delivery he faced in the first over from spinner Arafat Sunny.
Moeen turned the ball on the leg-side and set off for a run but Bell was ball-watching at the non striker's end.
Moeen tried to regain his ground but, despite a desperate dive, was short of his crease and had to depart the middle.
Bell (63), Jos Buttler (65) and Chris Woakes (42 not out) tried to see England home but they were unable to prevent a third defeat in the last four ODIs with Bangladesh.
Bangladesh were indebted to Mahhmudullah (103) and Mushfiqur Rahim (89) who added 141 in 24 overs for the fifth wicket.
Moeen returned figures of 1-44 from nine overs split into three spells and he dismissed his former Worcestershire team-mate Shakib Al Hasan.
Shakib, who had spells at New Road in 2010 and 2011, had made only two when he edged Moeen to Joe Root at slip to leave Bangladesh on 99-4 in the 22nd over.
