Moeen Ali will make the switch from England duty to IPL action for the first time with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Worcestershire all-rounder ended a five and a half month stint of international duty earlier this week in New Zealand.
Now the 30-year-old will be part of the RCB franchise after being bought at auction for almost £190,000.
The 11th season of the IPL began yesterday and will run from until May 27.
Moeen put himself forward two years ago for the IPL auction but withdrew because of ECB concerns over his workload as a player involved in all three formats with England.
This winter he has played 49 days cricket for England in Australia and New Zealand.
Only keeper Jonny Bairstow (60), Test skipper Joe Root (59) and Dawid Malan (54) have played more than Moeen.
He will be part of a multi talented RCB squad bidding for glory during the next few weeks – including Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers – starting with the clash with Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata later today.
Worcestershire 2017 overseas player Ravichandran Ashwin will be playing for Kings X1 Punjab.
