MOEEN CHOSEN TO PLAY FOR SULTANS IN PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE

Moeen Ali is to play for Multan Sultans in the 2020 Pakistan Super League.

The Worcestershire and England all-rounder was selected at today’s players’ draft as one of the ‘platinum’ category players.

He follows in the footsteps of Ross Whiteley who also played in the PSL for the Sultans two winters ago.

The 2020 version – the fifth – runs from February 20 to March 22 and is being held in its entirety in Pakistan.

Moeen’s team-mates will include Ravi Bopara, James Vince and Imran Tahir.

His selection continues a busy winter of white ball cricket for various franchises for the 32-year-old player.

He had a brief two game spell in the Mzansi Super League for Cape Town Blitz before heading to Abu Dhabi to play for Team Abu Dhabi in the T10 League along with Whiteley and Pat Brown.

After returning from the PSL, Moeen will then link up with Royal Challengers Bangalore for the Indian Premier League during April and May.
