Moeen Ali and his England team-mates have arrived in Sri Lanka for their seven One-Day Internationals against the host nation.
The Worcestershire all-rounder and his colleagues flew from London via Abu Dhabi and arrived at their team hotel at approximately 6am on Monday (local time).
Moeen is beginning his first 12 months as a centrally contracted player with Sri Lankan tour forming part of England's preparations for the forthcoming World Cup.
England have two warm-up matches before the ODI series gets underway against the Sri Lankans who have just been whitewashed 5-0 in India in a 50 over series.
Moeen and his team-mates take on Sri Lanka 'A' in Colombo on Friday (November 21) and meet the same opposition again in the same city next Sunday.
The opening ODI is on November 26.
England will return home for Christmas but then take on Australia and India in a triangular tournament Down Under in January February which will involve at least four ODIs – with the top two contesting the final.
The World Cup gets underway for England against Australia in Melbourne on February 14.
Moeen is the first Worcestershire player to be centrally contracted since batting legend Graeme Hick.
