Worcestershire Seconds experienced mixed fortunes when they launched their Second Eleven T20 campaign with two matches against their Northamptonshire counterparts at Milton Keynes.
They won the first encounter by six wickets after dismissing the home side for 89.
But the roles were reversed in the second match with Worcestershire bowled out for 88 and going down by seven wickets.
In match one the Worcestershire new ball attack of Ed Barnard and Chris Russell shared six wickets after skipper Shaaiq Choudhry decided to bat.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore – 23 off 13 balls – and skipper Shaaiq Choudhry with a run a ball 30 helped Worcestershire to triumph with 5.4 overs to spare.
In match two Choudhry top-scored with 22 after this time deciding to bat on winning the toss but Olly Stone with 4-10 was chiefly responsible for dismissing Worcestershire cheaply.
Russell picked up another three wickets including two in two balls. But George Munsey's unbeaten 48 off 51 balls with three sixes saw Northants home with 4.3 overs to spare.
