a host of worcestershire ccc players are again set to play birmingham premier league cricket this summer when county commitments allow.
many of the squad have re-signed for last season’s clubs but there have been a few changes.
wicket-keeper batsman alex milton has signed for bromsgrove after several years playing in wales to tie in with his commitments at cardiff mccu whom he captained last summer.
the county’s vitality blast bowling hero pat brown has made the switch from champions kidderminster to join dorridge in 2019.
fellow paceman george scrimshaw, who had previously played for kidderminster, has linked up with himley who also have batsman ollie westbury as part of their squad.
another fast bowler in adam finch has a new club in wolverhampton and will play alongside tom fell who has been with the club since he was a youngster.
the county have traditionally allowed players to feature in the bpl when it does not overlap with playing or training commitments at New Road (bnr).
ceo matt rawnsley – a former worcestershire spinner – played in the bpl for ombersley before taking up his current role at bnr.
*the birmingham league returns this weekend for 2019 and you can follow the fortunes of worcestershire players when they are in league action on the worcestershire ccc website and social media outlets during the summer.
