Alex Milton’s fine performance against Leicestershire has established him as Worcestershire’s current highest run scorer in the Second Eleven Championship.
The wicket-keeper batsman followed up his 64 not out in the first innings at Stourbridge by making 138.
Milton, who scored his maiden Specsavers County Championship century against Somerset last summer, has totalled exactly 300 runs in the three-day competition this season at an average of exactly 50.
Adam Finch, who has forced his way into the first team squad in recent weeks, and Josh Breed are the joint leading wicket-takers.
They have eight wickets apiece at an average of 22.25 and 27.25 respectively.
Breed has also made a useful contribution with the bat and scored 141 runs at an average of 47.
Worcestershire club captain Joe Leach tops the bowling averages with six wickets at an average of 8.17 after playing in the early part of the campaign as part of his back to bowling programme after injury.
