Worcestershire CCC wicket-keeper Alex Milton has continued his prolific form with the bat this season for Cardiff CC in the South Wales Premier Cricket League.
Milton hit his fourth century of the campaign for Cardiff in yesterday’s 153 run success over Penarth CC.
He opened the innings and batted all the way through the 50 overs for 117 not out from 140 balls with eight boundaries.
Milton has now amassed 669 runs in nine league innings at an average of 111.50.
He is the league’s leading run-getter in 2017 and his scores to date are 115, 0, 139, 13 not out, 102 not out, 56, 67, 60 and 117 not out.
Milton yesterday shared in partnerships of 168 with Kiran Carlson (88) and 85 with Connor Brown (62).
Cardiff totalled 319-5 and then dismissed Penarth for 166 after the first four wickets had tumbled for 15 runs.
Victory maintained Cardiff’s leadership of the Premier League on 145 points – seven more than reigning champions Newport.
Milton is now available to play for Worcestershire for the rest of the season after completing commitments with Cardiff MCCU and will be part of the Seconds team in T20 action against Durham tomorrow.
