MILTON AND BANTON HIT TONS AND FALLOWS PICKS UP FIVE WICKETS

Worcestershire CCC wicket-keeper Alex Milton and Academy player Jacques Banton both hit centuries in the latest round of Birmingham Premier League matches – and there was also a five wicket haul for Pathway spinner Freddie Fallows.

Milton, who regained his spot in the County’s Specsavers County Championship side against Northamptonshire, hit an unbeaten 111 for Bromsgrove who overcame Brockhampton by 191 runs.

He struck 13 fours in his 101 ball knock and put on 183 for the third wicket with Jayden Levitt.

Bromsgrove totalled 328-3 in their 50 overs and then slow left armer Fallows returned figures of 10-1-40-5 as Brockhampton were dismissed for 137 in 36.4 overs with Milton picking up one stumping and two catches.

Banton struck 107 off 99 balls with three sixes and eight fours for Barnt Green in a 40 run win over Walsall.

He put on 103 for the fourth wicket with Tom Brown out of his side’s 311-6 in 50 overs and then Worcestershire coach Andy Sutton returned 3-56 with the ball as Walsall were bowled out for 271 in 47 overs.

Ombersley gained a 96 run win over Halesowen with Jack Haynes scoring 25 off their 200 all out and Academy player Matt Davis (2-40) and County CEO Matt Rawnsley (1-27) amongst the wicket-takers.

George Rhodes returned after injury for Barnards Green, scoring 37 but he did not bowl in a 78 run defeat against Harborne who totalled 303 in 47 overs.
