Ethan Brookes says he is on a learning curve from Worcestershire Rapids new vice-captain, Adam Hose, when it comes to playing Vitality Blast cricket ahead of the Sky-televised encounter with Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Wantage Road on Friday evening (7.05pm start).
Brookes played the first ever senior T20 cricket of his career when he was selected for the Rapids opening two games of the campaign against Yorkshire Vikings and Lancashire Lightning.

He is eager to gain knowledge from batting alongside Hose who is contrast has played all around the world.
Hose clocked up his 150th T20 appearance – including the last two Big Bash Leagues for Adelaide Strikers – when hitting a crucial 23 in the win over Lancashire.
Brookes, who top-scored for the Rapids with 42 against Yorkshire, said: “The amount of experience Hosey has now, hopefully I can try and learn bibs and bobs off him.
“I watched how he changed that game last Friday, a rapid 23 which completely changed the momentum of things.
“It is great we have got a player like him, who can change games. Ideally, I can learn with him, and bat with him, and see how he operates.
“He has been all around the world playing in big tournaments.”
Rapids Club Captain, Brett D’Oliveira, echoed Brookes sentiments ahead of the meeting with the Steelbacks.
He said: “Adam is a well travelled man in terms of cricket, in terms of white ball cricket and is vice captain this year, takes that role very seriously and is very good at it.
“He is a proper leader of men within that group and he shows how to bat when he goes out to bat.”
Worcestershire have made two additions to the squad selected for Thursday’s meeting with Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge to take on the Steelbacks.
Loan signing Shoaib Bashir is available after joining the club for five t20s and one County Championship round.
Olly Cox is also added to the 15 strong squad in place of Josh Cobb, who is ineligible in games against Northants this season. Cox hit a half century on his first team debut against New Zealand in a T20 fixture last summer.
