Mason Praise For Morris Resilience After Technical Changes

Assistant coach Matt Mason has hailed the determination of Worcestershire paceman Charlie Morris to re-emerge as a major force with his reshaped action.

Morris underwent technical changes last summer after collecting 96 County Championship wickets during the previous two campaigns.

Understandably, he took time to adjust and was not as prolific with the ball.

But no-one could have worked harder than Morris to regain the pace and potency of 2014 and 2015 and that is continuing this winter.

Mason, who is also the County's fast bowling coach, said: "Charlie will never fail for lack of effort and the feedback already this winter has been positive.

"He is enjoying working things out and has a simple instruction to come back bowling as quick as ever and doing what he does best – and I'm sure that's what we will see next year.

"He went through massive changes and it was never going to be easy and he was so resilient to it all last summer.

"A lesser man would have probably crumbled under that pressure and scrutiny and having to work so technically with his action and things.

"He did really well to get back out there and hopefully we will see what we saw a couple of years ago."
