MALVERN ACTIVE EXTEND SPONSORSHIP TO WOMEN AND GIRLS TALENTED PLAYER PROGRAMME

Worcestershire CCC’s 2019-2020 Talented Player Programme for Women and Girls in the County gets underway this week.

Malvern Active are sponsoring the scheme in an extension of their already flourishing partnership with Womens and Girls Cricket in Worcestershire.

They already sponsor all of the County’s teams from Under-11s right through to the Rapids senior side in a new three year deal which got underway in 2018.

Worcestershire Academy Coach Elliot Wilson said: “The Talented Player Programme (TPP) provides additional coaching support for 11 of the most talented players we have in our programme from 12 to 16 years of age.

“It involves extra coaching sessions at King Charles School, Kidderminster. I will be supported by Emily Arlott, Kevin Sharp, Andy Sutton and Ryan D’Oliveira.

“It is sponsored by Malvern Active. They are sponsoring the 2019-2020 TPP and we would like to thank them for their support in getting this initiative off the ground really.

“It is a continuation of their support last year when they sponsored all of the sides, including the senior team, and which will continue moving forward.”

Part of the TPP programme is Hannan Baker who has been selected for an England Development Programme at Loughborough during the winter for spin bowlers (see separate story).
