Captain Jake Libby has become the first Worcestershire Rapids batter to score 400 and then 500 runs in a season in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Libby surpassed his own record tally by a Worcestershire player for a single campaign in the 50 over competition of 397 runs 12 months ago.
He ended in style with a century against Warwickshire and a grand total of 526 runs with five other half centuries and has finished as the Rapids leading One Day Cup run-getter for the past three years.
Libby also ended the 2024 group campaign as the tournament’s top overall run-getter
The One Day Cup replaced the ECB 40 tournament for the 2014 season when it became a 50 over competition.

On the bowling front, Academy player Jack Home finished as the Rapids leading wicket-taker with 16 from just five innings despite suffering from a shoulder injury against Warwickshire.
The pace bowler returned 6-51 against Derbyshire, the best figures by a Rapids player in List A cricket for 19 years.
On loan Fateh Singh (15) and fellow spinner Tom Hinley (13) were the other main wicket-takers while Ethan Brookes (3.61 runs per over) had the best economy rate.
