Leach Says Outlaws Test Will Provide Benchmark For Rapids

Joe Leach believes Worcestershire Rapids Royal London One-Day Cup clash with visiting Notts Outlaws tomorrow will provide "a good benchmark to see where we are at."

The Worcestershire skipper is relishing the challenge of taking on an Outlaws team that contains a possee of international players.

It is a battle of two of the in-form teams with Worcestershire having won their opening two games in the Specsavers County Championship and Nottinghamshire their first three matches.

Leach said: "On paper it is probably the toughest game of the group but it is a good benchmark to see where we are at.

"We've gone and played against the North in Dubai and got a big score there against a bowling attack and a team on paper that is certainly going to be stronger than a county side.

"We are into our season now and we will stand toe to toe. We've had good results against Notts in the past few years.

"We certainly don't feel like we are little brother or anything like that. We will go out there and give it a good go.

"We've got Moeen as well which enhances our team."

Worcestershire defeated the Outlaws in their final Group match last summer to book a quarter-final spot.
