Alexei Kervezee will captain Worcestershire Seconds when they return to Second Eleven Championship action against MCCU at Kidderminster starting tomorrow (11am start).
Kervezee will take over the mantle from George Rhodes who is making his Specsavers County Championship debut in the current match with Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Paceman Josh Tongue has returned to the squad after being named in the original 12 for the game at Northampton.
Tongue has returned to full fitness after his back problem and has gradually built up the number of overs he has been permitted to bowl since his comeback.
He will form a four-pronged pace attack with Chris Russell, Charlie Morris and George Scrimshaw who last week signed his first professional contract with the County.
The Seconds have won two, lost one and drawn two of their opening five games in the competition.
